Why join the Corvus Learning Trust?
The Corvus Learning Trust has a clear mission to support our schools to provide an exceptional education experience. As a member of our Multi-Academy Trust, you will have access to a dedicated Central Team who have a wealth of experience working directly with and supporting schools and Headteachers, and a passion for education. Regardless of where you are on your journey, the high-quality support available is personalised for each individual school.
A common misconception about becoming a Multi-Academy Trust member is the fear that you will lose autonomy over your school. This is certainly not the case with Corvus! We want to work with schools who wish to maintain their own unique identity and provide a curriculum that meets the specific needs of their pupils. The Trust is here to provide support, share best practice and tailor our offer to the schools’ specific needs. We work closely with Local Governing Bodies to operate our schools so that governance is carried out at school level and this ensures the individuality of schools is maintained.
We strongly believe that leadership and finances should be school centric. We have one of the lowest top slices of any Trust, keeping resources where they can have the most impact. Our Central Team is experienced and offers comprehensive support and guidance in finance, operations and estates, governance, HR, legal, and most importantly, education support.
Joining Corvus brings with it many training and development opportunities for Headteachers and their staff. We work together to support school improvement and we ask our schools to be willing participants in sharing best practice and supporting each other.
We are delighted to have recently welcomed three new schools to the Trust and they already feel like part of the Corvus family. Our Central Team support new joiners through the early exploratory stages, the process of due diligence, the legal requirements liaison with local authorities through to onboarding. We are with you every step of the way and operate according to your timescales not ours.
We believe that staying local is important. Our Central Team want to be close to our schools making support quicker and easier. We also believe that MATs should know the context of the schools to be most effective when working together. We want all of our schools to be within approximately 30 miles of our central offices in Crowthorne. We do not want to be a large Trust; we want to be local and we want our schools to share leadership. We want joining schools to share our vision and values:
Delivering an exceptional education: CLT aims to provide an exceptional education to all young people.
- Collaboration: CLT schools work together while retaining their own individuality.
- Shared values: CLT schools share values, a common ethos, and vision for education.
- Respect: CLT values respect for everyone.
- Responsibility: CLT values responsible decisions, taking ownership, and being mindful of the impact.
- Kindness: CLT values being kind and caring.
- Tolerance: CLT values tolerance and understanding
We welcome all school types and OFSTED categories; we are incredibly proud to be inclusive.
